​THE BRIEF:

xChange Festival is an annual celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month; featuring presentations and exhibitions. As part of the 2019 festival, we were required to create pieces for the postcard exhibition.

THE SOLUTION:

My contribution focused on how political issues impact the women of today. The inspiration for each design came from news articles that I felt needed more attention; from a rape case in which the victim’s underwear was used as evidence, to the gender pay gap at the time being 17.3%. I wanted to highlight why we need IWD. As well as having my postcards displayed in the exhibition, I decided that I also wanted them displayed around Birmingham City Centre to mark the day.​​
